Morgan J. Burns, LICSW

Morgan is the founding therapist of East Rock Collective. With more than 15 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and institutions, his work has been shaped by a longstanding interest in relationships, emotional development, and the complexity of being human.

His clinical experience spans individual psychotherapy and educational settings, including Berkshire School and Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Morgan approaches therapy with interest, depth, and an appreciation for the ways personal history and present circumstances intersect.

The creation of East Rock Collective grew from Morgan’s belief that effective therapy is strengthened and shaped by a strong professional community. In collaboration with the team at ERC, he has built this collective around thoughtful clinical work, accessible expertise, and a culture in which therapists can consult, challenge, and learn from one another. This foundation ultimately serves the same purpose as therapy itself: creating the conditions for people to feel understood, think more freely, and move toward meaningful change.
